Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction 8 Week Course

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an in depth eight week course in meditative awareness designed to help participants develop skillful ways of relating to the challenges of everyday life through the consistent practice of opening to present moment awareness.

This course is based on the pioneering work of Jon Kabat-Zinn. With decades of research, the course has proven to offer significant benefits including the ability to cope more effectively with stress; reduced levels of anxiety, pain, depression and fatigue; and an improved sense of self, energy and enthusiasm.

The MBSR course will invite you to:

  • Attend to experiences with kindness and compassion.
  • Access your natural capacity to care for yourself.
  • Cultivate awareness of the mind-body connection.
  • Learn how to regulate your nervous system during times of stress.
  • Engage in a healing and empowering experience.
  • Practice being in the moments of your life rather than caught up in the past and future.

The 8 class container of the course provides a safe space for meaningful connections as we practice and learn together.

Mindfulness is the practice of being present in our lives with kindness, compassion, and wisdom. From this place of greater awareness we develop the ability to respond in skillful ways to the demands of life with less frustration and reactivity and more clarity and connection.
